Weekly two-minute radio feature exploring plants, wildlife and ecology.  Hosted by longtime journalist Sabrina Halvorson, the 2024 National Association of Farm Broadcasting Farm Broadcaster of the Year, the series combines clear, engaging explanations with a strong knowledge of plants and ecology. Halvorson is also an author, nature educator and certified Master Naturalist.

​ Chip joined Farm Journal’s Pro Farmer as a floor reporter for Futures World News in January 1988 after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Ag Journalism.

​Chip moved to the Pro Farmer headquarters in 1991 where he started as Electronic Services Editor. With Pro Farmer, he has been senior market analyst, general manager, editor of the company’s flagship newsletter, editorial director and is now editor emeritus.
